What I Bought at Knit Wit Today

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

I stopped by the Center City Knit Wit today to peruse the latest and greatest for spring. After a lovely picnic lunch (sandwiches from Metropolitan Bakery – yum!) with my gorgeous sister Kerry in Rittenhouse Square, we couldn’t help but pop into the store to pick out a few new items from the back room.

You’ve seen the Center City fashionistas starting to rock bright-colored denim. Here’s wear to find the best selection! AG, Closed, J BRAND and more. You also need a fresh pair of white jeans and some sweet new t’s for summer:

Super Bowl Sunday T’s

Sunday, February 5th, 2012

Katie knows that a sweet silk blouse can transform your outfit into a sophisticated ensemble. But when you’re heading to a Super Bowl XLVI party, leave the silk at home. Football was made for t-shirts.

That doesn’t mean I want to see you in a mis-shaped, stained t-shirt that should be retired to the cleaning rag pile!

Good thing the Knit Wit and Plage Tahiti has a ton of designer t-shirts that will be pretty and comfortable as you’re snacking and cheering this evening! Like these from Michael Stars:

The Knit Wit on Walnut St. is open until 5 p.m. today and the Knit Wit on Ventnor Ave. in Margate, NJ is open until 4 p.m.! Stop by to get your new t’s for Super Bowl Sunday!

Katie

The 20 Year Old “Original Tee”

Thursday, August 4th, 2011
Tee-shirts.  You have them, you covet them, sometimes you even iron them.  The great American wash-and-wear staple has evolved over the past decades from a pullover in a three-pack to a supple, soft shirt that belongs on a (non-wire!) hanger.
Michael Stars has pioneered casual, chic tee-shirts for more than two decades offering women of all ages the opportunity to trade in frumpy, unshapely tee-shirts for a sophisticated silhouette.  Katie knows its “original tee” is an exceptional California-creation which has become a staple for the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Biel and Angelina Jolie.
Supima Long Sleeve Raw Edge CrewMichael Stars “original tee” born more than 20 years ago.

Over the years, Michael Stars’ line has evolved to include perfectly fitted cotton tees, tanks, 3/4 sleeves, long sleeves and more.
Shine Shirred Shoulder Scoop Tank – this fabric is so comfortable with a unique, pretty shine!
2×1 Shine Beater Tank – HOT!
Luxe Slub Racerback Tank Tunic – perfect with pants, shorts, leggings or over a bikini!
Short Sleeve Rolled Cuff Scoop Neck Tee – the capped sleeves are flattering for all women!
Slub Jersey Off-Shoulder Dolman Top – the shape and draping work so well together.
Supima 3/4 Sleeve Scoop Neck Tee – a variation of the original.

My favorite sundress this summer is a Michael Stars, easy, breezy, beachy number:
Sleeveless Surplice Dress – comes in black, orange, blue and white!
Katie knows that your new favorite tee (and tank and dress) are just waiting for you to bring them home from KNIT WIT and PLAGE TAHITI. So, say goodbye to your old, stained, poly-blend tee you call “favorite” and say hello to Michael Stars.

Kisses,

Katie
