Katie knows you’ve started your spring pedicure regiment. And with good reason. It’s hard not to shed bulkier winter shoes for peep-toes has soon as the weather gets warm.
Knit Wit in Margate, NJ just got a new shipment of fabulous handmade leather sandals. You are going to buy at least two pair when you see how special these are. And when you hear about the artisans who hand-bead the exquisite details, you’ll want to buy more!
Global Girls created a program in which Kenyan women living with HIV/AIDS are making and fair trading these sandals to provide for themselves and their families.

Katie knows Knit Wit got some killer Jeffrey Campbell platforms recently. I had to grab these grey suede with weave pattern.

If you take a closer look at the designs, though, the company is far less cute than it’s packaging. Jeffrey Campbell Shoes are fierce, jaw dropping, statement heels. Not dainty like a kitten or girlie like a pink sweatshirt. These are chic, city heels. They have an attitude; they are brimming with confidence. Each shoe is a work of art.
As I googled around, I found some older Jeffrey Campbell designs that you are going to die for:
The company was founded in 2000 and is family-run in LA and NYC. Per its website, Jeffrey Campbell Shoes “has been capturing the essence of the street; weaving it together with a vintage style & runway flair, creating a line of shoes instantly recognizable the world over.”

I stopped by the Center City Knit Wit today to peruse the latest and greatest for spring. Katie knows you’re excited to shed layers this spring and start wearing the pretty pastel, floral, color blocking and maxi skirts and dresses you’ve been buying for next season. Aside from the fear of showing pale legs, I love walking down Walnut Street in a pretty spring dress when the warm breezes begin. But when I visited the Knit Wit last week, I freaked over the amazing new pants for spring 2012.
Colored denim was big last autumn with darker hues like eggplant colored denim from J BRAND and we are seeing that trend carry through spring 2012 with brighter colors.
Levi’s Made And Crafted sea blue and cream with Closed red denim.
Ramy Brook makes sexy, flattering silk tops for women. These pants are silk heaven and so chic. Paired with a Michael Stars crochet-esque top.

Sir Paul Smith just showed his fall 2012 RTW and Katie knows some of his menswear-inspired looks are meant to be staples in your closet this autumn.
